How Will the Stimulus Plan Stimulate Your Organization?
Last month, the White House held a briefing to educate nonprofit organizations who want to get a piece of the stimulus funding distributed through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA).
If your non profit has never received federal government funding, the uphill battle of getting the fast moving stimulus funds will be daunting. The National Council of Non Profits encourages organizations that are brand new to federal funding to partner with state and local governments first, through grants or contracts.
If funding is not in your reach, consider hosting a stimulus-funded AmeriCorps or AmeriCorps VISTA member to supplement your workforce.
